WEDDING: 3rd Day of the Cruise – CABO!!!!

9 March 2011 by Tausha 1 Comment

We were upset at first when we learned that they had taken Matazlan off our ports to stop at list – but then we were happy because the only day we were scheduled to be in Cabo was the wedding, and we wouldn’t have had any time to play! SO, it kind of worked out that we got to spend the day in Cabo. We woke up early because we only had from 8am-3pm to spend in Cabo. One group went Snorkeling by Lover’s Beach, One group went whale watching, and another group went on a Moped tour. Chad and I were part of the Snorkeling group, so here are some pictures from that: Here is our group: I took the picture (from left to right) Chad, Richard, Hilary, Terri, Fred, Kari, Carli, Terri, Steve and Eric: Here is some of our group getting into that ice cold water: This is Chad and I snorkeling… There was this rock that the guys and Kari (my rock hard Best Friend) swam out to to jump off. Here is Chad doing a flip off it, and thats our ship in the background!! After we warmed up on the boat ride back to the city, we looked around at the market, and then we went back to the boat and had lunch, here’s a picture of my beautiful best friend Kari, and my new beautiful sister in-love (A friend of mine Katy calls her In-Laws, In-Loves…so I’m stealing the term, Thanks Katy!!) Then, Chad and I went and got all cute and ready for dinner…we walked around the boat, and took pictures and then went to dinner at the Mexican place:
It was such a fun day – definitely a great first day to be married! We had a blast with everyone, and tomorrow we wake up in Puerta Vallarta!!!

THREE years ago today my sweet boy went missing. N THREE years ago today my sweet boy went missing. Not a single day has gone been where I didn’t think of him.....and for me, the unknown is the worst. We still don’t know if he is in a safe home, if he died that night, or after. It just breaks my heart to think he wasn’t surrounded by love in his final moments. Miss you Dexxy “brother” 🐾🌈

Thought I’d share a fun November adventure we we Thought I’d share a fun November adventure we went on to @oliobonamini We were able to see the amazing process of making olive oil & here is a basic breakdown of how it works:

First, a machine shakes the olives from the trees. The olives fall to a net on the ground.

Then the leaves are removed & the olives are washed in regular water.

Next, The olives are dropped into another machine that works like little hammers crushing the olives (skin, meat, pit, water and olive oil all together)

This paste is then kneaded by another machine for 30-40 minutes to make separation easier.

The next machine takes the paste and separates the solid parts from the liquid parts .

The liquid parts go into another machine that separates the oil from the water and you are left with an UNFILTERED olive oil.

The oil then goes into giant tanks until it is time to be bottled!
