WEDDING: Our new beginning.

7 March 2011 by Tausha 1 Comment

I can’t believe that after 5 years, imagining this day in my head time and time again, that it finally came!! My dad paid for myself, kari, and mom to get our hair done….so that morning (after little sleep) we met with David to get our hair done. We had met with David the night before and finalized hair plans. I decided to have my hair done up instead of the beachy waves, I had originally wanted…Goodbye long hair!

My dad, mom, Terri, Gma, and Nic stopped by, my dad brought food, my mom words of wisdom. I love my parents – I am so thankful they were able to come… Terri and Nic took some pictures, and we were pampered and planned and talked about the big day.

While Kari and Mom were getting their hair done, I started on my makeup… And while allllll this was happening….Terri snuck up to take some pictures of my handsome hubby to be…. And look at these studs!! Then Terri, Kari, and I went to my room to take some pictures of girly things: These are two of my favorites!! Boat ride over to Cabo – This was the first group: Chad and I, Terri, Kari, Mom and Dad, Gma and Gpa…We had to go over first so that Chad and I could have our blood tests done at the wedding office…. OUCH!! So then, Chad went and picked up the other group: Steve, Terri, Carli, Eric, Rick, Hilary, Landon and Nic…and they went to the wedding site….we met them there shortly therafter….BEAUTIFUL place huh?? Here is Rick and my beautiful Maid Of Honor Kari….Don’t they look AMAZING?? Here’s my Dad and I: (thank you for the death grip so I didn’t fall dad!) Ceremony and the KISS!!! WOWZERS….This is getting long. So heres a couple from group shots and pictures from the beach….. So, then we went back to the boat and took pictures, we had our “first dance” to my favorite cruise song “Red Wine”, where we danced on the empty boat deck…..Terri has a lot of edited ones that look BEAUTIFUL on her webpage….check her out!! Then, after pictures we went to dinner. Marrying my best friend and the most amazing man I ever met was the most incredible part of my day, BUTTT, walking into dinner was a close runner up… We walked down the stairs, and the entire restaurant starting clapping for us! It was incredible – I felt like I was a princess in a movie! It was truly epic. We had dinner, a cake that my dad bought for us, took some family pictures: And then it was time to be newlyweds 😉 😉

Thought I’d share a fun November adventure we we Thought I’d share a fun November adventure we went on to @oliobonamini We were able to see the amazing process of making olive oil & here is a basic breakdown of how it works:

First, a machine shakes the olives from the trees. The olives fall to a net on the ground.

Then the leaves are removed & the olives are washed in regular water.

Next, The olives are dropped into another machine that works like little hammers crushing the olives (skin, meat, pit, water and olive oil all together)

This paste is then kneaded by another machine for 30-40 minutes to make separation easier.

The next machine takes the paste and separates the solid parts from the liquid parts .

The liquid parts go into another machine that separates the oil from the water and you are left with an UNFILTERED olive oil.

The oil then goes into giant tanks until it is time to be bottled!

I’ve been getting really caught up in the long run & what we are MISSING by being in lockdown - when instead I should be showing up in other ways for my family & practicing gratitude every day. If I complain about not being able to travel, slap me m’kay? 👋🏻
