Last weekend, we voted to go out and explore instead of staying home to clean up the house (we did that this weekend). So now that our couch has been cleaned & our rugs are soft and fluffy, I thought I’d share some pictures from our camping adventure. We have had so much fun visiting all these places by us. Arizona – upon first glance seems so brown & dry, but just a few hours away in every direction are these gorgeous little places you can escape to. We’ve been to Sedona, Mesa, Payson, Globe, and most recently Prescott. Our first stop in Prescott was Goldwater Lake – that we walked half way around. We had to go find a camping spot before dark, so we turned back & didn’t finish it – but I could have spent ALL DAY at this place fishing, canoeing & going over to check out the dam. I mean, look at this place:
The best part about this place, there are TONS of picnic benches (bring your own lunch!), they allow pets & kids love walking around the lake & throwing rocks in. We saw several people fishing off the dock & around the lake & there weren’t tons of bugs even with it being on the water. Then, we found an amazing camping spot at a campground called Lower Wolf Creek and it was super clean, the bathrooms were great, but there was NO running water. (We bring TONS of water in a cooler packed with ice). So come prepared! We of course slept in the van, but had a fire with dinner, smores & sparklers afterwards!
The next morning, we woke up – had breakfast (that we had packed with us) and headed to do another hike – but I’ll share all those pictures in another post. This is already wayyyyyy too long. Thanks for sticking around. ADVENTURE IS OUT THERE!!
