Several months ago while exploring Instagram (my favorite social media outlet) I stumbled across Daniel & his feed was gorgeous. I started following him & after reading & learning more about him – there was this part in my soul that was completely ignited. I’ve always had a love for design & I think thats why I’ve always been so passionate about blogging. I love sharing & finding projects & saving money. I love distressing things, building things & decorating. All of these things combined just sort of equaled this little white house. Daniel just got to it first. I knew as soon as I had followed him for a few months that I wanted one. I started bringing it up to Chad & showing him a few pictures here & there. I told him that I wanted to learn how to build my own space like that & that I wanted to start collecting stuff for it. He told me he supported me & that he would help however he could. I decided that since we are only in Arizona for another year – that I am going to wait until we move & have a home for 4 years & then get started. But gosh, it’s crazy to find something that completely ignites my soul. I haven’t felt that much passion and excitement in a long time.
So, since I’d stalked Daniel & his space for a few months; I knew he was in the Seattle area so I emailed him a few weeks prior to our trip to Washington & put it out in the universe that I would love to see his space. I sent a text to my closest blog friends & asked for their prayers and support and then just prayed. I felt so right about this direction & knew that I wanted to start learning more about interior design, building, foundation, regulations – everything involved with building a space like this. A week or so later, Daniel emailed me back. HE SAID YES!! I was so excited to get his email!! I texted everyone right away & over the next few weeks we set up a time to stop by. The morning came & I was so excited. Of course, I teared up when I first saw it & was at such peace the entire time. It was magical. Daniel was so cool and answered TONS of questions & just let us sit and relax for awhile. I really cannot even explain it. In the Mormon Temples, there is a room called the Celestial Room – everything is white & quiet; it is a place to just sit, pray & ponder. The little white house reminds me of that. A private, quiet, perfect place to just be yourself. It was such confirmation after seeing it in person that I will be creating one of my own as soon as I can. So, without further ado – here are some of the pictures I snapped between asking one trillion questions.
Divine right? The entire space is only 170 sq ft. Fits a Queen Size bed & Daniel even changes it up with the seasons & Holidays. He and his father built it from the ground up & he was so kind answering all of our questions. His family opened up their home to us & were so kind & gentle. I am so thankful that we were able to go & for the compassion they showed towards us. It was absolutely incredible. Daniel is amazing & even with a recent hand injury – he was still cheery & bright & didn’t immediately turn down my proposal. So, theres that.
Thanks for stopping by today. You can find me on Instagram HERE & you can find Daniel & his little white house HERE.
