Fourth of July weekend we decided to sneak away to California to escape the horrid Arizona heat. We stayed at the gorgeous Radisson and then spent Saturday at SeaWorld. It was so much fun & now we just need to sit down and watch Blackfish to make ourselves feel bad about it. I always love going to the Zoo but then feel really guilty about it afterwards. Anybody else?
When we first arrived Chad and Presley played in some of the touch pools up front while I looked at the map of the park & figured out what shows we were going to attend. I mapped out most of our day to make sure we made the most of our time & then we headed to our first show! Seriously breathtaking to see these animals up close.
Between shows there was plenty to see and do. Presley loved seeing all the exhibits, playing in bubble machines, meeting a mermaid & walking through the shark tunnel.
We played some games, grabbed some delicious overpriced food & then Presley passed out right during one of the shows! She was super tired after staying awake almost all day!
Chad and I took turns going on some of the rides & Chad ended up getting soaked later in the day when it was already pretty cold! Oops!
We had so much fun & can’t wait to go back next year sometime!

I always feel guilty too!
I love that I have been to several zoos, and SeaWorld, so that I can see those amazing animals. But at the same time I feel so bad about their enclosures! What got me was when I saw an aerial view of SeaWorld and how super tiny the tanks actually are. Especially compared to the theme park part of it and the parking lot is a millions times bigger. 🙁
