Guys, I cannot believe the Bachelorette this year! (Or any year for that matter) I just cant even right now. Gah. So, while I’m sitting here upset over the impossible decisions Jojo has to make – I’ll distract myself from crying and getting overly emotional about an overly staged show and share some amazing pictures from our recent trip to California. I follow Erin on Instagram & she shared this amazing photo of this Rapunzel type castle on the beach & after chatting with her and getting directions; it added itself to our California To-Do list. So the day before we went to Sea World we stopped by this beach and found it. I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t incredibly magical. I’ll also be perfectly honest and tell you it was pretty terrifying to get to.
This incredible castle is located at Victoria Beach & if you ask any of the locals they can tell you exactly how to get to it. We found it with Erin’s amazing directions she sent me via Instagram. Unfortunately we went right as the tide was coming in – which made it a little tricky to get to. The castle is located a bit away from the location of the beach you relax on and requires you sort of sneak across this thin area to get to. While we were there, we saw several people get caught up in the tide, shoes getting ripped off their feet & phones soaked in the ocean water. The timing to get to the castle had to be perfect & thankfully we all made it out alive and dry. So, if you are going to go, definitely download a ‘tide app’ and check the tide before you go. It needs to be very low for you to successfully get to the castle. I was bummed that we didn’t have more time to explore & get some family pictures; but thankful we at least got a few before the tide was extremely high and completely undoable.
It was incredible & next time we go I really want to spend more time at the castle & get some family pictures by it – seriously breathtaking. Presley called it the castle from Tangled – so it was also a win in her book.
