Fall Fashion with Jord Woodwatches

17 September 2016 by Tausha Leave a Comment

Morning everyone!!! Happy SATURDAY- I hope you are being productive, having fun & get to sleep in lots tomorrow morning. My dear friend Nora sent me the most hilarious meme the other day it said, “It’s all fun and games until you have to wake up and be a parent at 6am” – is that SO true parents? Thankfully, Presley girl is a huge cuddle bug and after she sneaks into our room can sleep forever while we snuggle her all warm and cozy. If I don’t set an alarm during the week we have been known to sleep until 9 or 10! So i’m hoping you get lots of snuggles tomorrow and get to enjoy your hopefully relaxing Sunday. I thought I’d stop by really quick today while I roll out my calves (we did a 7 mile hike yesterday, sneak peak on Instagram here) and relax before we head to the waterpark and dinner this afternoon with Chads family. This last week Chad, Presley and myself decided to go explore Downtown Phoenix and Roosevelt Row. It was incredible – and I totally recommend it for a fun family night out. We just walked around the few blocks filled with shops and tons of artwork. The weather is cooling down so that means leggings & cozy clothes & of course my newest Jord watch.  So, for your viewing pleasure, here are some of my favorites from Roosevelt Row & how amazing this watch goes with practically everything….and also my awkward adventures in fashion modeling. Presley had a few lessons to teach me.

Thought I’d share a fun November adventure we we Thought I’d share a fun November adventure we went on to @oliobonamini We were able to see the amazing process of making olive oil & here is a basic breakdown of how it works:

First, a machine shakes the olives from the trees. The olives fall to a net on the ground.

Then the leaves are removed & the olives are washed in regular water.

Next, The olives are dropped into another machine that works like little hammers crushing the olives (skin, meat, pit, water and olive oil all together)

This paste is then kneaded by another machine for 30-40 minutes to make separation easier.

The next machine takes the paste and separates the solid parts from the liquid parts .

The liquid parts go into another machine that separates the oil from the water and you are left with an UNFILTERED olive oil.

The oil then goes into giant tanks until it is time to be bottled!

I’ve been getting really caught up in the long run & what we are MISSING by being in lockdown - when instead I should be showing up in other ways for my family & practicing gratitude every day. If I complain about not being able to travel, slap me m’kay? 👋🏻
