We started off Graduation week when Grandma Terri and Grandpa Steve came into town and went to dinner, played at the house and then Carli came into town and we went bowling and had lots of pool time. Chad was still hiking in Utah so Presley and I got to soak up lots of family time.
Then my best friend Kari flew into town from Utah and we got to catch up spend some time together. It was such a blessing to see her, she’s been such a big part of my life and a constant role model for me so it was good to just squeeze her.
Before Chads actual Graduation the Army had a commissioning ceremony at the school that we raced to prepare for. It was a fun experience to be a part of as he became a Captain. It was also great to be supported by Kari, Steve and Terri – joining the Army was such a big decision we had to make, but it’s already proved to be a great decision for our family. After the Army Ceremony, my baby brother Nic and his new wife Tori flew into town and we set up for a party the next day & it was so awesome seeing the newlyweds after our week in the Dominican Republic!
Graduation Ceremony itself was very beautifully done. I might have teared up a few times and I’m pretty sure my voice was raw at the end of us from screaming and cheering so loud for Chad! It was absolutely surreal to hear “Doctor Chad Wierlo” while he walked across the stage!
After graduation, we headed outside to grab some family pictures and to congratulate all our friends on the huge accomplishment of successfully finishing Dental School!
After graduation we changed and headed to the church for a Graduation Party the girls and I put together. It was so fun to finally relax and celebrate our hubbies and all their hard work!
After the party we relaxed at home for a bit and then headed out to grab dinner before our guests got ready to leave and we headed back home to pack for our move to Oklahoma!
Ginormous THANKS to Kari for taking pictures of such a momentous event, and for our friends & family that made the sacrifice of time and money to come celebrate and support us. We are so thankful for YOU and your presence in our lives.
