After being on lockdown for 76 days we were finally able to get out! Previously we could only exercise within 200 meters of our home. Now we can drive to a hike within our region as long as we could keep our distance from any other hikers. We stayed close, only going about 40 minutes from our home to visit the Waterfalls of Silan. They are near Bassano del Grappa which makes for an excellent lunch or dinner spot while you wander around the picturesque city. The trail is super easy to follow and was super easy for our first outing in several months!
About half way down the path we stopped to read a sign that told us about this deep trench and how it was formed what is was most likely used for in the past. You should be able to zoom into the translated version to read more about it.
We wandered off on this little side path and found this giant tree that was alive but had a giant hole through the middle of it and the roots growing out of the rocks all around it. It was pretty incredible – Presley could have climbed through if there weren’t any spiderwebs scaring her off. The path was gorgeous and full of green foliage. We found the waterfalls super easy and there were tons of people lounging around the falls with their kids splashing in the freezing water.
Thanks for stopping by! XO
