Next up on our Amalfi journey – after staying in a castle & exploring Civita, touring Pompeii and hiking Mt. Vesuvius, spending some time in Sorrento & touring the island of Capri – we moved onto our next hotel in Positano. We found a darling location & made Positano our next home base while we exploring and got in some delicious beach time.
After climbing 500+ steps to get to Hotel Pupetto, we dropped off our luggage, freshened up and headed out to explore Positano.
We loved the hotel we found, it was sort of outside of Positano (about a 10 minute walk to the main beach) but we had our own private beach that was less crowded, a gorgeous patio and sea view & both a queen bed & a smaller twin size bed for Presley. The hotel had a free breakfast and also a restaurant for dinner if you chose to stay there.
Chad found the most AMAZING dinner spot with gorgeous views of Positano. It was worth the walk to it.
We couldn’t visit the Amalfi coast and not stop in the actual town of Amalfi could we? We trekked up to the car & drove over to wander Amalfi for a few hours. It was definitely a cute little town, but I’m glad we chose to stay in Positano, it was definitely my favorite of the two.
Then it was back to Positano for beach time, delicious food and one of the most gorgeous restaurants I’ve ever been to (minus our trip to Grotta Palazzese of course)
This restaurant was on top of a hotel & required a reservation so we are glad we stopped in to make one for the following night. Definitely worth it!
And then it was sadly time to leave gorgeous Positano to make the trek home. We decided again to break up the 8-9 hour drive and stop midway in a little town called Bomarzo. I’ll post that blog post soon, thanks for stopping by! XO
