Weekend Getaway – Rocky Point Mexico – The Room

7 May 2015 by Tausha 4 Comments

This trip was courtesy of Seaside Reservations.

We are 2 years into Chads 4 year Dental program & recently discovered that Rocky Point Mexico is just a few hours from us so it was so easy to leave after class on Friday & then be home late Sunday before school again on Monday. Rocky Point is the perfect spot for a getaway that is super close to home & we are already making plans to go back! So here is all the goodness about Rocky Point. I figured that I would split all of our Mexico pictures into 2 posts, the first about our incredible room & then another post about all of our adventures!

We were on the 4th story & in a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom at the Princesa and Sea Side Reservations was incredible. We are already trying to convince family to buy in Rocky Point & will definitely have Sea Side Reservations renting out the spot when we aren’t there soaking up the sun! Check out this view right when we walked into our weekend home? Gorgeous large living area, tile flooring & cozy decor made us feel right at home.
IMG_2116We brought lots of water & snacks for Presley (since she is a picky eater) and we loved the full kitchen, fridge & that there were all the silverware and dishes we needed. There was also a washer/dryer tucked back there if we would have needed to do any laundry!
IMG_2113We brought Presleys pack-n-play but ended up just cuddling with her on this cozy bed in the first bedroom that also had a bathroom right next to it. It had a full closet & even a dresser with a tv/dvd player!
IMG_2114IMG_2115The ‘master’ bedroom had an attached bathroom with separate vanity and a huge tub that I probably could have soaked in all weekend if we hadn’t been busy with the pools & the beach.
IMG_2119IMG_2120Oh and speaking of heaven, check out this view from the patio! I loved sitting out there in the middle of the day while Presley was napping. So beautiful watching the ocean and being up high enough to see everything!
IMG_2124 IMG_2125I don’t think we could have had a more perfect room. We loved every single minute of our adventures, but also loved coming back to such a cozy room. It was nice to feel so at home away from home. So, if you are headed to Rocky Point and need a weekend/week rental, definitely contact Sea Side Reservations! You won’t regret it!

It was sooooo much fun! Nope, not timeshare – they are just rentals! We met a few people that own them & then stay half the year & then let Sea Side Reservations rent them out to travelers the rest of the year! It is incredible! We are convincing family to buy a place there! (By the way, I got your email and will respond this weekend! Sorry it’s taken me so long to get back to you!)

I am drooling at all these pictures over here. We honeymooned at a place that was run similar in Santa Cruz. Nothing compared to this though.

Thought I’d share a fun November adventure we we Thought I’d share a fun November adventure we went on to @oliobonamini We were able to see the amazing process of making olive oil & here is a basic breakdown of how it works:

First, a machine shakes the olives from the trees. The olives fall to a net on the ground.

Then the leaves are removed & the olives are washed in regular water.

Next, The olives are dropped into another machine that works like little hammers crushing the olives (skin, meat, pit, water and olive oil all together)

This paste is then kneaded by another machine for 30-40 minutes to make separation easier.

The next machine takes the paste and separates the solid parts from the liquid parts .

The liquid parts go into another machine that separates the oil from the water and you are left with an UNFILTERED olive oil.

The oil then goes into giant tanks until it is time to be bottled!
