This past week we had an amazing experience that I couldn’t help but sit down to write about. For 25€ per person we were able to go experience a traditional Italian meal complete with appetizer, main course and a desert with wine tasting, authentic dancing, and we got to pick grapes and even have our very own grape stamp. We went with some good friends and met new friends & had a blast. Whitney and I kept looking at each other like, “we are at a Grape Stomp in ITALY!”, I still have no idea how this is my life. I am so grateful and wake up literally every single morning thinking this is all dream! It has been (and still is) an adjustment and I experience culture shock moments DAILY but Im so thankful for those opportunities that are forcing me to go outside my comfort zone to adapt and learn how to comfortably live here; all while not getting yelled at for buying groceries the wrong way.
La Docle Vigna is a popular Restaurant/Winery around here (especially with military families) that specializes in not only wine but a pizza and wine pairing that I am dying to go to. You can make reservations for date nights, visit when family comes into town & several times throughout the year they even have events to try new wines, old wines, pairings and to help pick the grapes. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone in Italy. We will definitely be back a few times while we are here!
Now excuse me while I go find a babysitter so I can plan a date night because Pizza & Wine? Heaven.
